Colony “A” Beaver News
Welcome to one and all! The Beaver “year” 2004 –
2005 begins TONIGHT and we are glad that you could join us!
When special things happen in/around our schedule you can expect
a special note like this to come home---please keep an eye out
for them.
This year’s theme
is a bit different: DISCOVERING
SCOUTING. In many cases the Beaver program is
designed to simply get the kids playing and working together in
a group environment. However, the Leader team thought it might
be fun/exciting for the Beavers (especially returning Beavers)
to experience how Scouting works for older kids like Cubs and
Scouts. We will still be featuring some familiar topics like
The Outdoors, Crafts & Hobbies, Physical Fitness, Sports &
Recreation and Helping Others (Family, Friends and Community).
But, you will note some new “twists” in how we present things to
the Beavers and some new programs of reward & accomplishment
(that those of you with Cubs/Scouts will recognize
immediately). We sincerely hope that you and your Beaver will
enjoy the program this year.
