Fundraising Update
APPLE DAY

Saturday
October 14 2006
Apple Day is one of our biggest fundraisers of the
year! All proceeds support program activities in 1st
Blackburn Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Who: All sections: Beavers, Cubs and
Scouts
When: Saturday, October 14 2006
starting at 9:30 am.
Where: Pick up your apples at Emily Carr
school
Bring: Bring a fruit basket and a cloth
to polish your apples.
Wear your uniform! Collection tins will be
provided. Beavers and Cubs: bring a parent with you!
What: Sell your apples door to door
in your neighbourhood. Any donation is accepted.
Return your collection tin to Emily Carr or to your leader at the next
meeting.
Some storefront locations will be available. See the
sign up sheets when you pick up your apples.

Spaghetti
Fundraiser!!!
The spaghetti fundraiser was held on Feb.
22nd 2005.
When:
service
started at 5:30 PM
Where: Blackburn Community
Centre, 190 Glen Park Dr.
What: Delicious spaghetti, fresh
salad, yummy desert, with coffee, tea or juice
Cost: $6 - Adults, $3 - children 12
and under
All
sections, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers invited to
participate!
This was a great chance to meet the people in our
community and spread the word about Scouting. All the
proceeds stay within the 1st Blackburn group.

Please mark your calendars and start saving those
fruit baskets! All sections, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers
are invited to participate.
Apple Day is a major fundraiser for us and a great
way to meet people in the community and spread the
word about Scouting. All the Apple Day proceeds stay
with the 1st Blackburn group and all participants will
receive the Apple Day 2004 badge.
