Skating on the canal
A reminder to Scouts that we are skating on the canal on Monday, January 19. Note change of meeting place!. Free parking is available at the Lisgar Collegiate Institute. We will meet at the back doors of the Army drill hall very close to there at 6:45 pm. Pick up time will be confirmed at drop off as this will depend on the weather and ice conditions. See map at https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Lisgar+Collegiate+Institute/@45.420248,-75.689101,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x413b58964644aa2c Please dress appropriately for the weather. You will require skates, helmet (this is mandatory), a back pack for your boots, and a filled water bottle. |
Gatineau Hike
For those attending the hike today - please bring your OHIP card (original, please, no photocopies) and proof of any additional medical insurance since, although it is just across the river, it is technically out of province. We will meet at 10:00 on Friday (17th) at the Luskville Falls parking lot located on chemin de l'hotel-de-ville in Luskville. The hike is 4.5 kms and should take us about 3 hours plus time for lunch so plan to pickup around 1:30. Everyone should pack a lunch and dress for the weather. Good runners or hiking boots are recommended. We are discouraging rubber boots as these are likely to cause blisters. Parents are welcome to join us. We will be doing it rain or shine! (I have put in a special request to Environment Canada for good weather that day;) Hope to see you there! |
