Voyageur Council Food Drive

If you're outside of Blackburn, please collect any donation bags you handed out and bring them to the Metro
If you dropped donation bags off on any streets in addition to what you signed up for, please let us know so we can be sure they get picked up! Consider helping out our community by participating in the Voyageur Council Food Drive on Nov 7 at Metro.  You can sign up for a one hour slot starting at 9AM and running until 1 PM, help your community, and earn a campfire blanket crest.  Listen for details in your meetings (Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts) and talk to your section leader to sign up, or email jmillar@blackburnscouting.com with your name, section and the time slot you'd like.  The important details are below.

  • The Food Drive will be from 9 AM to 1 PM on Sat Nov 7 at the Blackburn Metro
  • Youth are asked to sign up for a one hour shift.  The morning shifts are always busy, but if possible we could use the help all day.
  • Section leaders will have a sign up sheet.
  • Beaver parents are asked to accompany their youth for their shift.
  • Please come in uniform.
  • All youth that participate will earn a crest for their campfire blanket.
  • This year youth can also sign up to distribute donation bags ahead of time on their street, and we'll collect them from doorsteps from 9-11 on Nov 7.  Bags will be available at our Nov 2 meeting.
